Urban Development Intern

Bio

Michelle is the Urban Development Intern for the Cities Program at WRI’s DC office. She supports the Urban Development team with the World TOD Resource and tracking progress of the Global Platform for Sustainable Cities (GPSC) project.

Michelle has worked in several areas of community outreach - assisting with emergency management for the California Drought Response Plan and organizing local policy awareness and training initiatives. She has also conducted research on alternative revenue streams for U.S. municipalities, as well as, special topics in nation building and government responses to informal housing and settlements in South Africa.

Michelle received her B.S. in Urban and Regional Studies, with minors in Policy Analysis and Management and Inequality Studies, from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
