Anand is the Senior Manager, Global Communications, for the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He leads the communications team for the Ross Center, overseeing messaging, branding and strategic communications. Anand and his team also work to ensure that the Cities program’s global communications are integrated and coordinated with the communications efforts of WRI’s international offices.
Anand previously worked at World Wildlife Fund and The Nature Conservancy, leading communcations for those organizations’ conservation work in Africa, the Amazon, Indonesia, and the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. Most recently, Anand managed communications for WWF-International’s global policy team, with a special focus on climate and energy and the UN Susatainable Development Goals.
Anand holds an A.B. in history from the University of Michigan. He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
